Zelda's Bow is a unique enchanted bow, originally found in a weaker state.

Characteristics[]

By default, Zelda's Bow is between an Ebony and Glass Bow in strength, with a weight slightly less than a Glass Bow. After being awakened, it becomes equal in strength to a Dragonbone Bow. Both variants fire incredibly fast, matching the Long Bow and Auriel's Bow in swiftness.

The Bow deals slightly increased critical damage (x1.56 base damage) and the enhanced variant deals slightly less (x1.55 base damage). Both variants have a standard critical multiplier of x1.0. The Bow may be tempered with filled Greater Soul Gems.

Effects[]

Zelda's Bow possesses increasingly powerful enchantments and has an infinite enchantment charge. Both Bow versions ravage Magicka for 30 seconds, deal extra damage to undead, and deal lingering Sun Damage to both undead and daedra.

The enhanced Bow increases the Magicka ravaged to 30 points and causes additional Fire, Shock, and Sun Damage to all creatures. Further, it gains the Hylia's Retribution enchantment, having a 1/4 chance to cause an explosion when an undead is slain. The explosion deals 70 Sun Damage to other undead in a 15ft radius.

Having Zelda's Bow in one's inventory allows the creation of Light Essence and Potent Light Essence at an Ancient Enchanter, given the appropriate ingredients.

Location[]

Zelda's Bow is located within the Link Between Worlds. It can be found hovering on a slanted crystal pillar that lies across the water beneath the Freezing Caves entrance. The Bow can be seen from the Kinolangdanzel Shrine exit, and can be accessed via a nearby pillar or the tome that teleports the player to the Link Between Worlds' lower level.

Crafting[]

The enhanced version of Zelda's Bow can be crafted at an Ancient Enchanter.

Lore[]

Zelda used her bow during many battles in the Last Great War of Hyrule, especially against dangerous undead foes. Its presence in the Link Between Worlds, a remnant of the Temple of Light, implies that Zelda visited the Temple and left her bow behind, either deliberately or by mistake.

Together with Zelda's Sword, it is one of two weapons that represent Zelda within the Sage Weapons set.

Background and Inspiration[]

Zelda's Bow was originally a heavily-retextured Ebony Bow made to resemble the weapon Zelda wields in Twilight Princess. In version 6.6.2, it was given a unique model made by Dralkkin, with distinct textures to differentiate between its two power states.
