Winterhold Secret Grotto is a large Secret Grotto accessed by a trapdoor located northwest of Azura's Shrine. It consists of an icy cave that breaks into a large, flooded cavern. It contains a Zora Tunic, as well as a Zora Scout Helmet and the Ether Medallion.
The first room leads in two directions. One direction is guarded by a Chilfos. Beyond the Chilfos is a Wizzrobe guarding a Zora Tunic and a Zora Scout Helmet. The other direction is blocked by a Block of Time, which can only be cleared by playing the Song of Time with the Ocarina of Time in the player's inventory. Beyond the Block of Time await three Bokoblins and a Blue Tektite on the wreckage of two wooden ships. At the bottom of the hull of the larger ship is the Ether Medallion.
Background and Inspiration[]
Winterhold Secret Grotto was added to Relics of Hyrule in version 5.4 and was later expanded in version 6.4.
The Zora Tunic was included in the grotto to provide an alternative to Ustengrav as a guaranteed location.
