The Terminan Shield is a rare light armor shield slightly weaker than an Elven Shield. It can be reforged into the Terminan Hero's Shield, which can be made light or heavy armor. It can only be reforged at a Terminan Forge.
A Terminan Hero's Shield is slightly stronger than a Dragonscale Shield and equal in strength to an Orcish Shield, with a potent enchantment.
Once forged, a Terminan Hero's Shield cannot change its armor type.
Standard Terminan Shields can be found outside the lower entrance to Darkwater Pass, within the Rift Secret Grotto, Hrodulf's House on Solstheim, Kakariko Barracks, or carried by a Stalfos in Morwitijaal.
A Terminan Hero's Shield can only be crafted.

Terminan Shields were wielded by soldiers and refugees from Termina during the Last Great War of Hyrule. The shield on Solstheim may have been taken there by a Terminan refugee, by a Dwemer, or by someone who found themselves in the Dwemer ruins beneath Hrodulf's House. The Stalfos carrying a Terminan Shield in Morwitijaal may have once been a soldier from Termina, or simply found the shield. However, it wears a set of ruined armor and is the only Stalfos (and the only enemy) in Relics of Hyrule that carries one, so the former may be more accurate.
Background and Inspiration Edit
The Terminan Shield is based on the Hero's Shield from Majora's Mask and uses a mesh by Tyen originally made for The Legend of Zelda - A Skyrim Modification. The model was used with permission.
The shield was included in a standalone Terminan Shield mod by JKalenad. This mod included the Terminan Gems, Terminan Forge, Terminan Book, and recipe for reforging the shield. The Terminan Shield mod serves as the basis of Relics of Hyrule, as it includes the Terminan Forge and established much of the story of the mod.
The name "Terminan Shield" was given to the shield because of its prevalence in the land of Termina, being found in shops and serving as the game's answer to the Hylian Shield. The name also served to make it distinct from other Hero's Shields.
