The Roar Stick is a destruction staff found in Silent Moons Camp. It is unique in that it looks like a restoration staff rather than a standard destruction staff. Its enchantment is also unique: it fires a spray of sparks, but every second these sparks deal only 1 point of damage to Health and half a point to Magicka.

It is accompanied by a journal written by a bandit who found it while searching the ruins that compose the camp.

Notes Edit

The presence of the Roar Stick implies that an incarnation of Link or Zelda from the game Zelda's Adventure was present at the Battle of a Thousand Heroes.

The Roar Stick is arguably the most useless joke item, as it cannot be re-purposed. The Book of Koridai can be transformed into a ruined book and used in spell-crafting or at the Atronach Forge, while the Wand of Gamelon can be used to learn the Magicka Damage enchantment, and the Power Sword can fire potent beams when used in conjunction with the White Ring. The only potential use of the Roar Stick arises if the player is using a mod that allows them to learn spells from staff enchantments. While the Roar Stick's enchantment is weak, it costs very little, and would be useful to a powerful mage who wished to put pressure on foes, stunting their health or Magicka regeneration while other spells were in use.

Background and Inspiration Edit

The Roar Stick was included as a joke and to pay homage to Zelda's Adventure, one of three Zelda games developed for the Philips CD-i. It is named after a spell in the game that threw a spinning club, hence the shape of the staff.
