His perks include Savage Strike, Fighting Stance, Necromancy, Dark Souls, Augmented Frost, Bladesman (60), Hack and Slash (60), and Wind Walker. He has a natural 30% resistance to magic.
Latimer has no requirements for his recruitment and his vampirism cannot be cured.
Latimer was cursed by Molag Bal (see A Chronicle of War Volume IV), and served the Daedric Prince for centuries. He, Alnesaan, and Yolanda realized that their fellow former citizens of Hyrule were slowly being brainwashed and corrupted. Instead of becoming accustomed to the killing and vile deeds dictated by Molag Bal, The three became vampire hunters, tracking down Gerudo and Hylian Vampires with the goal of destroying them and ending their misery.
Background and Inspiration Edit
Latimer was added to Relics of Hyrule in version 5.2.
He and his companions Alnesaan and Yolanda were reset in version 5.94 after a game-breaking bug arose and could not be fixed. The bug caused the friendly vampires to appear in Riften and attack wedding guests. They also would be attacked on sight in Riften and other cities. Latimer was changed from a High Elf Vampire to a normal High Elf, with customized vampire eyes.
His eyes are based on Serana's, indicating his long life as a vampire.
Latimer is named after Tim Latimer, a character in the Doctor Who episodes Human Nature and The Family of Blood. The name Latimer is shared by many Doctor Who characters and can be seen as a reference to Doctor Who in general, and by extension the vast age of the Hylian Vampires.
As of version 6.26, Latimer always wears an Ashland Dark Tunic, Redead Leather Gauntlets, and Vampire Boots. Prior to Version 6.26, his armor would be random.
JKalenad has plans to give Latimer a unique journal separate from the Chronicle of War Volume IV explaining his own backstory.
