The snow is getting colder, and the firewood is running out. We cut down all the trees. We had to. Nothing grows here anymore. Nobody visits the inn anymore, so all we do now is sit in the cellar trying to keep warm. We left the door unlocked, so if anyone wants to come in, they can. We only let people in the cellar if they ask.

The graveyard is getting filled up. Dampe [sic] comes in sometimes to talk, when he is tired from trying to dig in the rock-hard soil. He used to be rather surly, but as the snow got colder, he got kinder.
Not much left here if we can't be nice to our fellow refugees.

Background and Inspiration Edit

The Fourth Journal, or "Innkeeper's Journal" was included in version 3.0 of Relics of Hyrule, with Kinolangdanzel and the Freezing Caves. It was included to enrich the atmosphere and lore of the mod and to provide context for Kakariko Graveyard.

The line "the snow is getting colder" is included in reference to the song "Wish You Were Here" by Swedish band Rednex, in particular to the cover version by Blackmore's Night, sometimes misattributed to Nightwish.
