The Poe's Lantern is a type of Destruction staff. They can be upgraded to a stronger, blue variant.
Characteristics[]
The Poe's Lantern is equal to a Staff of Fireballs in effect and strength. The Blue variant is slightly stronger and causes additional damage over time. Both have a standard charge time of 0.5 seconds.
While equipped, the lanterns provide "Poe Light" similar to a normal torch.
The default Lantern can be used to fill a Greater Soul Gem at an Ancient Enchanter, or turned into a Greater Poe Soul at the Infusion Altar. Ten may be used to create Spell Tome: Conjure Poe at an Ancient Enchanter.
The blue Lantern can be used to fill a Grand Soul Gem at an Ancient Enchanter, or turned into a Greater Poe Soul at the Infusion Altar. Ten may be used to create Spell Tome: Conjure Greater Poe at an Ancient Enchanter.
Effects[]
Both Poe's Lantern versions have a charge of 2000. Each use has a cost of 133 for the standard orange variant, and a cost of 188 for the blue variant.
The default variant launches a 15ft explosion of fire that deals 40 points of Fire Damage. The blue variant increases this to 55 points of Fire Damage, in addition to adding 35 points of Fire Damage for 2 seconds. It also causes targets to be 30% weaker to Fire Damage for 30 seconds.

Poe's Lanterns may be carried by Greater Poes, and the blue variant is dropped by the Master Poe. Either variant also has a chance to be within a Dark Chest of Wonders.
