Phantoms are armored, spectral enemies that stand at 1.1 times the player's height. The few that do appear are found in Relics of Hyrule locations. One can be found in Vetrianaav, and the other two in The Ruptured Towers - Loss. They can be summoned using Summon Phantom or Phantom Thrall.
Phantoms may also be found in Morwitijaal and Itnamzand.
Phantoms wield Phantom's Battleswords with Hylian Shields or Skyloft Shields and will drop ectoplasm upon death. Although Phantoms appear to be wearing armor, it cannot be looted from a Phantom's body.
Phantoms may be encountered wearing a helmet similar to the Helm of Yngol, or the standard Ancient Nord Helmet.
Lore[]
According to the Gossip Stones, the Phantoms "still wander the world as hollow suits of armor, serving the dark lord who corrupted them." It is unclear whether the Phantoms are spirits or reanimated suits of armor in a similar vein to the Enthralled Weapons.
Background and Inspiration[]
Phantoms were included in version 5.24 of Relics of Hyrule and were finalized in version 5.25.
JKalenad has plans to make their armor more unique, with elements of Hylian Soldier Armor and the armor worn by Phantoms in Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks.
