Hylian Light Arrows are a rare type of enchanted arrow.
Characteristics[]
Hylian Light Arrows are between Dwarven and Elven Arrows in physical strength. However, their primary source of damage is from their enchantment. They are 71% less affected by gravity, and have two times the impact force. The arrows cannot be picked up if missed, and cannot be retrieved from defeated targets.
The arrows may be converted into Hylian Light Bolts at an Alteration Table. They may also be decomposed into Light Essence or Potent Light Essence at an Ancient Enchanter.
Effects[]
The arrows possess an immensely powerful enchantment. They cause an explosion of light, dealing 150 points of initial damage followed by 200 points of Shock Damage for 5 seconds.
Enemies within a 20ft radius will take an additional 200 damage for 5 seconds and may disintegrate upon death. Further, the arrows cause Fear, making creatures up to level 34 flee for 5 seconds.
Location[]
Light Arrows are primarily found in Light Shrines, albeit in small quantities.
Three are also guaranteed within Zelda's Coffin in The Ruptured Towers - Guilt. A single Light Arrow has a chance to be granted from a Red Kinstone fusion, and three have a chance to be within the Dark Chest of Wonders.
Crafting[]
Hylian Light Arrows can be crafted at an Ancient Enchanter or the Infusion Altar. They may also be converted from Hylian Light Bolts at an Alteration Table.

Notes[]
The bright explosion caused by Light Arrows inflicts the disintegrate effect. This means that enemies struck by the arrow itself have a better chance of surviving than enemies that are caught in the explosion, who will almost always suffer heavy shock damage, followed by disintegration.
Background and Inspiration[]
The Light Arrows were first created for JKalenad's Fire, Ice, and Light Arrows mod published on June 28, 2013. They were later added into Relics of Hyrule.
The arrows were originally retextured Dwarven arrows with a white enchanted glow. They were based on the Light Arrows from Ocarina of Time and later games, with most of the design influence coming from Twilight Princess. The purple fletching of the arrows was in reference to the colors of Zelda's dress in Twilight Princess, because of her frequent use of the arrows.
In version 6.5, Light Arrows were significantly buffed, with their shock damage lasting for 5 seconds rather than one. The arrows themselves also dealt 15 points of physical damage rather than five. They were made more rare (with a 1:2 ratio to Silver Arrows rather than 1:1), and made more expensive to craft, requiring 2 Light Essence and 1 Dwarven Arrow, rather than 1 Light Essence and 2 Dwarven Arrows.
In version 6.6.2, the Light Arrows and quiver were given unique models created by Dralkkin. The arrow design was based upon their appearance in Twilight Princess. As no canon design existed for the quiver, it was made to be a royal-looking version of the quivers from the game. It used the colors of Zelda's dress, and was made of mundane materials to highlight the contrast between the quiver and the powerful artifacts it carried.
Prior to version 6.6.2, Hylian Light Arrows were simply called "Light Arrows." The change was prompted by the release of Skyrim Anniversary Edition and its inclusion of Arcane Archery, which added its own Fire and Ice Arrows. To keep the elemental arrows from Relics of Hyrule distinct and consistent, "Hylian" was added on following a community poll.
