The Forgotten Weapons are a set of basic weapons similar in strength to Iron, Steel, and Orcish weapons.
They are commonly wielded by Stalfos, Hylian Vampires, Enthralled Weapons, and Hylian Ghosts.
Some Forgotten Weapons are guaranteed in certain locations.
As with other recurring, non-unique weapons, Forgotten Weapons can be reforged by combining two of the same weapon at the Terminan Forge.
Forgotten Arrow[]
Forgotten Arrows are between Orcish and Steel Arrows in physical strength. They have a standard gravity and impact force.

Forgotten Arrows can be found on Staltroop, Stalchildren, Bokoblins, and Lost Hylian Scouts and Soldiers.
Forgotten Battleaxe[]
The Forgotten Battleaxe is equal in strength to an Iron Battleaxe, with the weight of an Orcish Greatsword.
The Forgotten Battleaxe can be taken to a Terminan Forge and be reforged into a stronger version if the player has multiple in their inventory.
The speed of a Battleaxe improves by 5% after reforging into a +2 axe and 10% after reforging into a +5.

Forgotten Dagger[]
The Forgotten Dagger is equal in strength and weight to an Orcish Dagger. It can be wielded as sword at the cost of speed, value, and the inability to reforge.
The Forgotten Dagger can be taken to a Terminan Forge and be reforged into a stronger version if the player has multiple in their inventory.
Faulty Forgotten Daggers can also be found. They cannot be tempered and are wielded like swords. Bringing a Faulty Forgotten Dagger to an Alteration Table allows it to be changed into a normal Forgotten Dagger.
The speed of a Dagger improves by 1% after each reforging.

The Forgotten Hammer is a one-handed mace equal in strength to an Orcish Mace with the weight of a Steel War Axe.
The Forgotten Hammer can be taken to a Terminan Forge and be reforged into a stronger version if the player has multiple in their inventory.
The speed of a Hammer improves by 1% after each reforging and decreases in weight after reforging into a +3 hammer.

Forgotten Longsword[]
The Forgotten Longsword can be wielded with one or two hands and can be found with either grip. The grip can be changed at an Alteration Table. With either grip, the sword is equal in strength and weight to an Orcish Sword, but swings more slowly.
The Forgotten Longsword can be taken to a Terminan Forge and be reforged into a stronger version if the player has multiple in their inventory. However, the grip is "locked" into one-handed or two-handed once the weapon is reforged.

Lore[]
The Forgotten Weapons are the weapons of Hylian Soldiers, forged en masse during the Last Great War of Hyrule.
Background and Inspiration[]
The Forgotten Sword was the first Forgotten Weapon and was added in version 4.4. The longsword and broadsword variants were added in version 6.0. The Forgotten War Axe and Battleaxe were added in version 6.47. The Forgotten Hammer, Warhammer, Dagger, Bow, and Spear were added in version 6.5.
All of the Forgotten Weapons are composed of iron, steel, and Dwarven weapon meshes. The three swords have the pommel and handguard of a Steel Sword, with the blade of a Dwarven Sword, and the grip of a Dwarven Mace. The Forgotten War Axe has the head of a Dwarven War Axe, with the handle of a steel war axe, while the battleaxe has the head of a Dwarven War Axe and the handle of an Iron Battleaxe.
The weapons were added with the intent of serving as starting weapons for the player, and as common, weak weapons for recurring enemies.
The Forgotten Sword is named after a weapon from A Link Between Worlds.
