Farore's Squall is an Master level Alteration spell added by Relics of Hyrule. It causes time to slow and makes the caster invisible. Everything around the caster is slowed, allowing for them to make a quick escape. The only way to learn the spell is to craft and read Spell Tome: Farore's Squall, which requires the player to know Farore's Wind. Farore's Gale can be learned using the same recipe as Farore's Squall.

Background and Inspiration Edit

Farore's Squall is the original version of Farore's Wind and was originally included in the standalone Golden Goddess Spells mod before being integrated into Relics of Hyrule.

The function of Farore's Squall was partially inspired by Zelda's use of the spell in the Super Smash Bros. series of games, but from a first-person perspective. The spell was originally designed as an escape spell.

In version 6.3 of Relics of Hyrule, JKalenad rebuilt Farore's Wind to more closely behave like the original spell from Ocarina of Time. The former version of Farore's Wind was renamed Farore's Squall and was made another secondary spell, similar to Farore's Gale.
